So…

Do we like Lana del Ray?

Why or why not?

{I’m leaning towards liking her music, and about a click away from purchasing her album on Amazon.]

Florence + The Machine - Only If For A Night

Go buy this album now.

Florence + the Machine - Shake it Out

Got this album on Amazon yesterday* for $5.  It may be the best $5 I’ve ever spent. This is probably the only album that will rival Adele for spots on my playlist.

[*Today it is $7.99.  Still worth it!]

Dear Internet,

I don’t know how it happened, but over the course of the last year I got OLD.

The only bands/songs I know about are the ones playing on the radio (gag me).   I swear if I hear Born This Way, Firework, or What the Hell ONE MORE TIME I may just start listening to Crash non-stop and pretend it’s still 1996.

I always used to wonder how “old people” got out of touch with music.  How do you just stop knowing about good music?  Well, let me tell you…it’s pretty easy.

Relying on the radio to tell you about the best new music = FAIL.

So, Internet, PLEASE HELP!  What bands/songs do I need to know about?

I’m not ready to be out of touch.

Love,
